🚧 Why You’re Seeing This Message
When integrating your Amazon seller account with Klavena, you may encounter the following message:
“The Amazon API limits how many settlements you are allowed to download at a time. Please try again in 15 minutes.”
This occurs because Amazon enforces rate limits on how frequently third-party apps like Klavena can request settlement reports through its Selling Partner API (SP-API). These limits are in place to maintain performance and server reliability on Amazon’s side.
🕒 What You Should Do
If you hit this limit during integration or re-import:
- Wait 15 minutes.
Amazon’s rate limits are usually on a 15-minute or rolling hourly basis, so simply waiting before retrying often resolves the issue.
- Try importing again.
After the cooldown period, Klavena will be able to request the next batch of settlements.
- Avoid repeated retries too quickly.
Repeated attempts before the rate limit resets may extend your wait time.
🔄 What Klavena Does Automatically
- Klavena is designed to respect Amazon's API rate limits and will automatically space out requests to avoid triggering this message unnecessarily.
- If you’re importing multiple months or years of settlement data, Klavena will fetch them in small batches over time.
✅ Best Practices
- If possible, complete your initial Amazon-Klavena integration during off-peak hours, when fewer background processes may be running.
- Let Klavena finish the import process without interruption—even if it takes a bit longer due to rate limiting.
- If you consistently experience delays, contact support and we’ll verify whether there’s an ongoing issue or elevated API traffic.
